ME: Julie Haberman Osmus
With Wisconsin roots (multiple generations deep), I live in delightful Cedarburg with my husband, two young children and an astonishingly large and wonderful Great Dane.
I graduated from University of Wisconsin Parkside where I earned my BA in Fine Art with an emphasis in graphic design. My education advances each day as I’m continuously refining my techniques by becoming a better shape finder when drawing, understanding perspective, and studying how light plays such an important role when it comes to executing a piece with excellence. I am constantly challenging myself to “do better”, not being afraid to take on difficult projects in order to push the limits of my abilities and constantly strive to pursue excellence in my craft that I crave for. Ultimately I’m a very competitive person and I want to be the best at what I do, not just for me but for the clients that I work for. When it comes down to it, I savor the process of “getting there” so much because it is during that process where the art comes alive. |
All of the above — the house, the wedding, the kids and the dog — and my newest endeavor Wall-It Creations, all came about in the last five years. You might say I like to keep busy!
Wall It Creations - The Creation
I’m beyond fortunate to have been raised in a close, loving, fun and creative family who always encouraged and supported my artistic pursuits. Art was always ‘in’ me, and from little on I knew I had to create.
The amazing examples of my Mom and Dad, such hard working entrepreneurs themselves, who’ve always led by doing ... with a sharp eye for detail and a standard of excellence. Through them I had the foundation to build my dream. My sister also played an important role, as she was such a talented artist. I was always trying to catch up to her abilities, being 3 ½ years younger – someone to look up, to keep you on your toes, and to push you is such a wonderful thing.
Whether it be woodworking, landscaping, decorating, cooking, sewing, etc., whatever it was, our family life was filled with extra flair in every aspect of daily life. Somehow whatever the task, project, recipe, or occasion was, it was always unique.
Necessity, as the mother of invention, was demonstrated to my sister and myself a thousand different ways growing up ... and done so with fun, laughter, and always a ‘can-do’ spirit of optimism. What outstanding role models to have been blessed with!

The Journey |
After 10 years in the corporate world, in the print industry, Wall It Creations was launched in 2016. It had long been my dream to return to creating art and with the commitment of my first client for a series of on-site murals for her commercial space, I took the plunge.
Since then, I have been able to work with many wonderful new clients — who’ve all become friends, truly — on work that is as varied and interesting and inspired as they are. My work is an emotional process as much as it is a process on the technicalities of color, texture, perspective, and movement. I want people who view my work to feel something when they look at the finished product. This is why I love to create things that have a special meaning to the individual; it's much easier to tap into the emotions of each piece that way. I am fully dedicated to refining my techniques and style to morph into whatever painting methods will convey my customer’s attachment to their subject matter.

My Role
I see my role as bringing your vision to fruition resulting in an uplifting and tangible item, be it purely an art piece to enhance your environment, or an item that is both great to look at while also useful and functional for its intended purpose.
My North Star(s) Family. Faith. Friends, Nature = Art.
Like legs on a chair, these four facets of my life all need each other in order for the chair to function in harmony. Without one of the legs the chair would fall.
Family, Friends (clients who become both to me). Faith each enhance and expand my artistic horizons. Nature is so often an inspiration and serves as a background for my work.
I lean on these key influences, and learn from them continuously in ways that are full of profound meaning. What I learn, how I grow (technically, emotionally, spiritually), I channel back into the art. Like legs on a chair, a perfect balance!

Art of Transformation
I derive so much satisfaction in transforming everyday elements, ‘pre-loved’ items and what many would see as plain, or scrap materials into new, fresh, or re-purposed pieces of beauty and usefulness.
My work ranges widely and my style can morph from realistic, to impressionistic, to whimsical; in the last 18 months, I’ve done permanent paintings — murals, one wall or a whole room, free-standing large scale paintings and smaller versions of large pieces to name a few (view the Gallery for more). Really any concept or idea is on the table. I’m able to take any idea you have, a thought, a photograph, a link you found, essentially anything and work with you on transforming it into something tangible.
Decor: As I mentioned, essentially you name it, I can customize it. Whether you’re looking to personalize something that’s maybe old and you want to upscale it or capture it for sentimental value. Whether it’s customizing something from concept, anything is on the table as I crave the chance to work with you on bringing these to life and something you and others can cherish for years to come.
The act of creating art is a constant in my life. There simply isn't an ‘Off’ button for me and the creative process.

You:
You have an idea? A small nugget of an idea. Maybe it’s something you saw online, at an art gallery, on a TV show, outside taking a walk, BUT you need some help getting it from inside your head and into focus and transformed onto your wall, into your home, your workplace or perhaps for someone else. Or, you have a crystal-clear idea ... and simply need a skilled artistic partner to bring it into being.
I believe I have a unique talent at ‘meeting you where you are’, taking your ideas, inspiration, your unique story and translating those elements into the art piece that will most resonate within you. Transforming your idea into something that satisfies, lifts you up, brings you joy, evokes a memory, provides calm or peace ... whatever it is you wish to add to your home and environment, it’s my job — and great pleasure — to see that vision become a tangible reality.

Us: (that’s You + Me)
Besides art being my passion, my talent and I believe, my destiny, I find art to be life centering, grounding and even healing. It can provide a safe haven, a welcome respite or a much-needed smile separate from the often chaotic, too-busy pace of our daily lives.
Art can restore harmony and balance within ourselves, and in our spaces. I believe to have the privilege to enter your life through art is a true gift. Together let’s color outside the lines, unleash our imaginations and allow those long-held dreams and ideas to take flight and fully blossom. Between US we can add even more beauty, calm, happiness, peace and joy to your everyday world.
It would be my honor to have the opportunity to undertake an artistic journey with you, via Wall It Creations ... “where your vision meets my talents — and magic begins.”
Thanks for visiting, and I hope we can work together soon!
